Here lies lies
The work here lies lies sits within the darkened space of the Bond Store basement of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, one of the earliest colonialist overlays of palawa people’s bones and cultures in Tasmania. Illuminating and shining a light on the ongoing lies and fictions of Tasmanian historic and contemporary histories, this work acts to counter the ongoing myth of palawa extinction. Working within the Museum context enables specific stories to be returned to country.
