Strike at the foundations

Exhibited at QUT Art Museum in the group exhibition Rite of Passage, Striking at the Foundations is a work that acts to subvert the social and political architecture of western hegemonic systems and patriarchal dominance. Disrupting the architecture of the Museum, I am working against the rigid confinements of space by creating my own structure and introducing organic and flowing, non-static forms. Dark light and voids diminish the dominance of the architecture that allows its oppressive nature to be present and brings attention to my specific work that commands respect from everything else in that space. This work is striking at the foundations literally and metaphorically.
