This body of work refers to movement and more specifically, the movement of forced transportation. While historically, my Palawa family members were pushed to the edge literally and metaphorically, I now address the vulnerable edge of racism’s tipping points. These vessels pose the questions of who or what is being shipped in, shipped out or shipped away?

As island people, these works seek to show how our cultural expression is connected to the emotional and physical edge of land and sea.
