This series of nine uterine bags are a fertile expression and acknowledgement of the unborn of many Tasmanian Aboriginal women. These unborn, along with many Palawa women, were taken from us.

Into these membranous vessels I pour my stories. Embedded with layered references, some stories are held, some stories leak out and some stories are unformed. As I form these bags, I’m left with many unanswered questions.
