While affirming the continuity of a proud Trawlwoolway heritage, the work Whose time are we on? lays bare steel wool’s coarse, abrasive qualities and colonialism’s systematic scouring of Indigenous sovereignty. This work suggests with tangible immediacy the ongoing violence perpetrated against Palawa people over the centuries and explores complex entwined cultural histories with their inherent asymmetries of power.
